How to buy materials with Parex in Medellín
- Book a call and tell us about the project you are running and the materials you need.
- Choose how to pay. Upfront from your first purchase, or with a revolving credit line on 30, 60 or 90-day terms.
- Send your company documents. Within 48 hours of receiving the complete set we tell you whether you qualify for a credit line.
- Issue the purchase order to verified suppliers that deliver in the Aburrá Valley and eastern Antioquia. The supplier gets paid on the day delivery is confirmed.

Upfront purchases count too. They show us your payment behavior, and with that history we can offer you better financing terms on your next purchases.
The construction market in Antioquia
After a year of record launches in 2025, sales fell in the first half of 2026. Many projects launched last year are now under construction with slower pre-sales. Paying for materials on 30, 60 or 90-day terms lets builders keep the pace of work without stopping crews for lack of cash.
Where construction is happening
- Eastern Antioquia. New-home sales grew 25% in 2025. Rionegro went from 1,961 to 2,184 units and La Ceja from 208 to 444, according to Camacol Antioquia and La Lonja.
- Avenida 80 corridor. The Metro de la 80 was around 52% complete in July 2026 and could start operating in 2028.
- Southern Aburrá Valley (Envigado, Itagüí and Sabaneta) and the north (Bello), with high-rise housing projects.
- Western Antioquia. The Toyo Tunnel is projected to open in October 2027, adding demand in Urabá and the west.
What to consider when buying materials in Medellín
- Intermediate seismic hazard zone. Medellín, the Aburrá Valley municipalities and Rionegro are in the intermediate zone under the NSR-10 building code. Require certified steel and concrete from the supplier.
- Land-use plan review. Agreement 48 of 2014 expires in 2027, and in 2026 the city council is debating Draft Agreement 104, which may change densities and social housing obligations. Follow it before committing purchases for projects that are not yet licensed.
- Slopes and access. On hillsides and narrow streets, agree on the vehicle type and delivery schedule with the supplier when you issue the purchase order.
Why buy materials on credit
- You keep the project’s cash for payroll, labor and progress.
- One line for several suppliers. Buy steel, concrete, masonry or finishes with the same credit line.
- The supplier gets paid on delivery. That makes it easier to secure availability and delivery times.
- Decision within 48 hours of receiving your complete documents.
